Dwight Gayle is weighing up his future at Newcastle United.

The Evening Chronicle says Gayle is understood to be frustrated at the lack of game time at St James' Park as he heads into the final months of his contract.

Gayle is a big asset for Newcastle who will walk away for free if there is no contract renewal at United. But he would want a good offer to commit at Newcastle, having been handed a contract improvement three years ago to agree to join West Brom as part of the deal that saw Salomon Rondon move to the Magpies.

Gayle has featured only seven times this season despite United's struggle for goals and will not be short of offers in the summer. Indeed a lucrative offer from the Middle East is a possibility in the summer, as well as long-standing interest from Fulham. Newcastle did not receive any bids in January for the striker to force their hand.
