Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce has put Dwight Gayle on notice.
With Callum Wilson set for a spell on the sidelines, Bruce will turn to Gayle to fill the void.
Asked about using Gayle, Bruce said: "It's for anybody to step up but we all know what Dwight is capable of.
"Again he has been racked with injuries, unfortunately. So we hope that he can stay well and stay fit.
"We know he's capable, and the same goes for Joelinton, Andy Carroll..."
