Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti says Ben Godfrey deserves a close look by England coach Gareth Southgate.
Godfrey last summer in a £25million deal from Norwich and he has been one of the most consistent figures in their team since making his debut as a substitute against Liverpool on October 17.
"He (Southgate) is right if he watched Ben Godfrey – he is right," said Ancelotti, whose side face Fulham on Sunday night. "Gareth doesn't need advice from me, but to see and watch Ben Godfrey at this moment, in this period, it is a pleasure for a manager.
"Ben has surprised me because I didn't know him so well when we signed. The signing from the club, from our scouts has been good.
"He has been able to adapt very quickly to different positions and we are very pleased with him."
