Juventus football chief Fabio Paratici says coach Andrea Pirlo just needed time.
Paratici was asked if the 2-0 defeat to Inter Milan at San Siro last month was 'therapeutic' considering the run of victories since.
“I don't know if it was a therapeutic defeat, but we had also won the previous four and won the next run, so it's very difficult to win 10-12 games in a row," Paratici said before Saturday's victory over Roma.
“What happened was the coach had more time to get his ideas out in training, to get to know the players better, for them to know him. He didn't have the time in pre-season, then we had a packed fixture list, so it needed more time.
“Roma are a very good team, they have a strong coach, are getting good results and have transformed their directorial hierarchy. We know it'll be difficult this evening."
