Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has explained why he sent Takumi Minamino on-loan to Southampton.
The Japan international moved to Saints on deadline day on-loan to the end of the season. Southampton pushed to have a permanent option included, but the Reds refused.
Klopp explained why Minamino couldn't get a regular game this season and insisted the midfielder was part of his long-term plans.
The German says Southampton is the ideal platform for Minamino - with him speaking before last night's 9-0 thrashing at Manchester United.
