Ocampos has scored 24 times in just 75 appearances for the La Liga giants, with the Reds 'willing' to make a bid for the Argentine in the upcoming transfer window.
Tthe Reds may be willing to take a punt on Ocampos, but they would have to pay the £56m release clause in his current contract.
