Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi has suffered an injury setback with loan club Union Berlin.
The Nigerian has been impressive for Union Berlin this season, but has suffered a thigh injury which management fear will force him to the sidelines for an extended period.
"We fear a long absence," said Union managing director Oliver Ruhnert.
It's a blow for Union Berlin, with Awoniyi having scored five goals and provided four assists so far this season.
The striker's loan does not include a buy-back option.
