Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is counting on Karim Benzema making the derby against Atletico Madrid.
Marca says Benzema is recovering well from his injury and is expected to return to action for Real Madrid's match against Atletico Madrid on March 7.
The objective of both the club and the player is for Benzema to be at Zinedine Zidane's disposal for the Madrid derby at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.
However, Real Madrid do not rule out Benzema recovering in time for Monday's clash against Real Sociedad at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano.
Ten days are left until the meeting with Diego Simeone's side and Los Blancos are not willing to rush Benzema's return in order to avoid any risks of a potential injury setback.
