Reports from Canal+ in France suggested a top European club were willing to buy the 21-year-old center half this summer.
A fee of €45 million is reported, but the player's agent has rubbished such claims.
Speaking to Voetbalzone, Nikkie Bruinenberg said such rumors were "fake news."
Botman has a contract with the French club until 2025, and he only joined last summer after Gabriel was sold to Arsenal.
