Labuan continues to attract idle carriers after 40 years

LABUAN: Labuan was introduced to the world as a haven for “jobless” vessels, especially crude oil carriers as there was a glut of these way back in 1975.

Today after more than 40 years, the island still remains a popular destination for idle or defunct carriers, some waiting for new charter while others waiting to be scrapped.
