Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has fired a warning at Liverpool over their interest in Florian Neuhaus.
The midfielder is viewed at Liverpool as a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum, who is off contract in June, while Borussia Dortmund are also keen.
Eberl snapped: "If he will leave the club? With the best will in the world, I can't imagine it, it's nonsense, very simple.
"We are always asked who could leave us and it is a bit disrespectful, the way we are treated."
Neuhaus' contract carries a €40m buyout clause.
