Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta insists he's not surprised by Ilkay Gundogan's form this season with Manchester City.
The Germany midfielder has taken his game to a new level this term.
Arteta, a former City coach, said: “Now Ilkay plays a much more important role in the team.
"He was always able to rush into the penalty area, he is doing well with shooting and the ability to complete attacks, he just used to play in a deeper position in the centre of the field.
"I'm not surprised at his performance. Gundogan is a great footballer and has a wonderful season."
