Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris insists heads never dropped during defeat to Manchester City.
City were 3-0 victors on the day.
But Lloris later said, "City deserved the win but we didn't hide, we tried to play and compete with them. We didn't come here just to sit back, we tried to manage the ball.
"In the final third they were sharper than us and the penalty changed the feeling. We were still in the game and the second goal after half-time didn't help.
"As a goalkeeper it is about millimetres sometimes, I guessed the right way and there is frustration when you touch the ball and it still goes in. You can see a team full of confidence with City, which is not the case with us.
"We have a Europa League game in midweek, we have a lot of ambition in that competition. Then in the league the situation is complicated, even more complicated tonight but we just need a run of wins to try and get the confidence back individually and collectively. We will not give up."
