Mesut Ozil suffered defeat with Fenerbahce against Galatasaray yesterday.
The former Arsenal midfielder entered the pitch on 63 minutes, moving into the playmaker's position on coach Erol Bulut's orders.
Ozil also took over free-kick duty and from one set-piece Fener almost fought their way back into the game, but a goal was ruled out by VAR.
The German also had a direct free-kick effort saved by Gala goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.
Gala won 1-0 at Fener thanks to Mostafa Mohamed's effort.
