Sheffield United owner Prince Abdullah has once again stated manager Chris Wilder has nothing to fear.

The Blades have been in a good spell recently, winning three of their past five matches in the league.

But they are still rock bottom and near certainties for relegation.

The club's owner says even if they go down, Wilder is safe as the club's manager.

"It's almost impossible to get an exception and leave the country, but I managed to pull one just to fly to meet Chris," he said in an exclusive interview with talkSPORT.

"I told him: 'You are our coach and we are going to stick with you even if we lost all the rest of the games, because we think you are the coach to get us out of the Championship'.

"Of course I told him some other things that I want to keep between me and him, and we have to sit down after the season to evaluate the season and see what we can do better, look at our recruitment, many things.

"But the main message was that we will stand by you, we will not fire you, we believe you can pull us from this and even if you don't, we will stand by you.

"Actions speak louder than words, I don't think any team in Premier League history had a worse start than us and it would have been very easy to pull the trigger and let Chris go… but we did not do that."
