West Ham defender Ben Johnson believes they can go toe to toe with the top teams in the division.
The Hammers are flying high in the Premier League this season, and are currently in genuine contention for a top-four spot.
"Our confidence is growing with each and every game, as you collect points you go into every game with more confidence and with an extra buzz," Johnson told the Evening Standard.
"The calibre of player we have is at a top-level, we have a lot of internationals and if you look at the games we have lost, some of the results have flattered the opposition and we should have got something. That is against the big teams.
"Liverpool away we should have got something, Arsenal were lucky to get a win from us. We're confident to go toe-to-toe with teams and the manager has us setup that we'll never go out to get a draw.
The 21-year-old added: "Even when I wasn't in the team a couple of years ago we went to Manchester United and lost 2-1, but we should have won the game.
"Since then we've always played well against the big teams. Our problem has been playing against the teams who are around us, playing as a top side and the opposition would sit back and make us play."
