Sabah’s Mayabayu rediscovers ethnic roots via music

Kota Kinabalu: Sabahan Mayabayu was still doing her A-levels when her first single Honeydew aired on HitzFM. This made her realise “Wow, I can actually do this”.

One of the finalists of the Levi’s Music Project last year, her musical journey has taken her from being a folk-country singer to ethnic music.
