Cockfights: 9 women among 31 held

TAWAU: Twenty two roosters were seized and 31 people, including nine women, suspected of being involved in cockfighting were arrested by the police in two separate raids at an oil palm plantation in Bergosong on Sunday and Monday (pic).

Tawau district police chief ACP Peter Umbuas said the raid on Monday saw 15 men and two women between the ages of 21 and 84 without legal documents nabbed at the “cockfighting arena” at 4pm.
