Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has left the England Under-21 camp in Slovenia and returned to Cobham.
He is now set for further assessment on a shoulder injury sustained in training last week.
The winger missed the young Lions' group game against Portugal on Sunday after picking up the injury in the build-up to the match.
It was hoped he might feature in this evening's clash with Croatia but Under-21s' manager Aidy Boothroyd has revealed the player has now left the camp.
"Callum is definitely out," he said ahead of today's match. "He has gone back to his club."
