Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho took responsibility for their Europa League exit at the hands of Dinamo Zagreb last night.
Spurs had one foot in the quarter-finals after last week's 2-0 first-leg win on home soil.
But they crumbled in Croatia, with Mislav Orsic's sensational hat-trick ensuring that Dinamo head into the last eight with a 3-2 aggregate success after extra-time.
Afterwards, Mourinho was asked what was missing from his team: “I don't think you can expect me, in front of cameras, to go as deep as that.
“I never like the feeling of some guys in football that say 'I won, they lost'. I don't like this feeling. For me, it's we won, we drew, we lost.
“I don't go and run away from that, I'm going to stick with that. I"m disappointed with a difference in attitude between one team and another.
“I repeat, because I don't want any doubts about it, I feel sorry that MY team - I belong to that team - I feel that MY team didn't bring to the game, I feel, not just the basics of football but the basics of life, which is to respect our jobs and give everything."
