Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti was pleased with Joao Virginia's performance in their FA Cup defeat to Manchester City.
Ancelotti was forced to turn to the 21 year-old due to injury problems.
“He did really well, he showed his quality," said the Italian.
"He has no experience but the quality and personality he has, he showed in training.
“I'm pleased for his performance. He's always worked really well, really hard, really focused. I think he deserves the compliments."
