Chelsea hero Pat Nevin feels the team is on the brink of something special under manager Thomas Tuchel.
Nevin, who made around 200 appearances for Chelsea in the 1980s, is excited by Tuchel's impact since replacing Frank Lampard.
"There have been a few false starts and false dawns, but right now this seems like the start of something very special," he wrote in his column for the club's official website.
"If ever there was a test to prove the team's level of improvement, this was it and they passed with flying colours.
"What it has given him is choice, a number of options that is the envy of every other team in the league."
