Barcelona presidential candidate Victor Font has again declared he wants Xavi to return to the club should he win this week's election.
The Al Sadd coach has been linked with Ronald Koeman's job or even as a sporting director in Font's project.
Font said: "We want to have sports structures with Xavi as leader.
"We have an organisation chart with Xavi, Jordi Cruyff, Tito Blanco, Albert Benaiges and Joan Vilà. We have to make sure that the decisions are made by the best. We have to find the talent to win again."
He also said: "He (Xavi) admitted in the last statements that he had worked with us and gave us permission to explain his role, he has already done a lot. If we don't win, will we lose an asset to the club?"
