KK businesses slapped with RM50k compounds

Kota Kinabalu: Two business operators here were among the first in the nation to be slapped with RM50,000 compounds for breaching the Covid-19 Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) a few days after the Emergency (Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases) (Amendment) Ordinance 2021 came into force on March 11.

Daily Express learnt that one of them who was penalised by the Health Department was a tenant at Suria Sabah. A photo of what appeared to be a RM50,000 issued by the State Health Department went viral in social media on March 12.
