KUALA LUMPUR, March 18 — The Health Ministry (MOH) today denied a viral message circulating via the WhatsApp application on the amount of fines for five situations of non-compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs), which came into effect on March 16.

MOH said that the message also contained inaccurate facts.

As such, the MOH reminded the public not to spread unverified information as it could cause confusion among the community.

The false news notification about the spread of the viral message was issued by the Communications and Multimedia Ministry’s Quick Response Team at 2 pm today.
