Major Pulau Gaya blaze

Kota Kinabalu: Fire destroyed some 80 houses in Kg Lok Urai, a water village on Pulau Gaya, some 15 minutes by boat from here, Thursday (pix).  

The cause of the fire and estimated loss is still being investigated.  Close to 400 villagers are believed to have been affected.
