Gareth Southgate says Mason Mount has only got respect since being picked by new Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel.
Mount was a favourite of former Blues manager Frank Lampard.
Sceptics believed the 22-year-old would not receive the same treatment under Tuchel.
But Mount has started eight out of nine league games with the German in charge.
Speaking after Mount scored in the 2-0 win over Albania on Sunday, Southgate said: "I was saying in the Autumn that he is a very good player. Now Thomas Tuchel picks him, everyone agrees.
"When Frank Lampard did it, it didn't count for some reason."
