Real Sociedad B coach Xabi Alonso has signed a new contract.
Xabi was being linked with the main job at Borussia Monchengladbach with Marco Rose leaving for Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.
However, the former Real Madrid midfielder has ended the speculation by signing a new deal to 2022.
The 39-year-old explained that he wants to “continue to grow in the project" and that there are “further goals and ambitions for this season that will challenge us".
Xabi first took charge for the 2019/20 season.
