The season of Everton midfielder Einar Iversen is over.
The Liverpool Echo says Norway U21 international Iversen is to have surgery on his knee.
Iversen limped out of the Blues' game with Arsenal in Southport last weekend after just 25 minutes and tests confirmed he had suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
The 19-year-old joined Everton in the summer of 2017 and would sign a first professional contract two years later.
Iversen has become a regular fixture in David Unsworth's u-23s side but will not play again until next season.
