Kota Kinabalu: Better coordination and communication between the Philippines and Malaysia in combating cross-border crimes is expected to improve with the rolling out of free Wi-Fi sites and small aperture terminal (VSAT) facilities in the provinces of Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi (Basulta) areas next month. The facilities would also mean locals and authorities concerned in the area will no longer have to look for places on higher elevations to just to catch cellphone signals from telecommunication facility near the border with Malaysia.
