Tottenham are watching contract talks between Chelsea and Toni Rudiger.
Football Insider says Chelsea are planning to open talks with Rudiger in the coming weeks, with the hope a long-term deal can be agreed,
Should those talks not reach a satisfying conclusion, Spurs are primed to make another bid for a player admired by Jose Mourinho.
The Spurs boss tried to sign Rudiger last summer and almost sealed a deal, before talks broke down regarding a loan fee.
Chelsea were hoping to receive around £4million up-front fee, as well as Spurs being asked the full portion of his £150,000-per-week wages.
Spurs instead signed Joe Rodon from Swansea City, although the Welshman has struggled for game time in his first season in North London.
