Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson was pleased with their 1-0 win against West Brom.
Palace captain Luka Milivojevic scored the game's only goal from the spot after Darnell Furlong was adjudged to have handled Wilfried Zaha's cross, leaving the second-bottom Baggies eight points clear of safety with nine matches left to play.
Hodgson said, "We knew what a difficult game this was going to be. West Brom have improved enormously over the last few weeks.
"Thirty-seven points from 29 games is an awful lot more than the club is used to having so that's very satisfactory.
"If we show the commitment that we showed tonight then I am confident we will get ourselves over the line again and Palace will have another season in the Premier League."
