Sabah eyes Klias as third Ramsar Site

Kota Kinabalu: State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Jafry Ariffin (pic) said he hoped to see Klias Peninsula become Sabah’s third Ramsar Site, after the 78,803ha Lower Kinabatangan-Segama became the first such site in October 2008, followed by the 24ha Kota Kinabalu Wetlands in December 2016. 

The proposed area in Klias encompasses some 100,000 hectares and potentially Sabah’s biggest.
