Arsenal hero Ray Parlour has slammed Tottenham over their Europa League collapse to Dinamo Zagreb.
Tottenham won the first leg of their last 16 clash 2-0 but were eliminated 3-2 on aggregate thanks to a hat-trick from Mislav Orsic, who netted the winner in extra-time.
Parlour told talkSPORT: "I did watch the Spurs game in the end and Glenn Hoddle at the end, a Spurs legend, saying [the performance was] 'diabolical'. It really was.
"You go away, I know you're trying to hold on and you're 2-0 up. They probably could have won 4-0 in the first leg, the game was over.
"But sometimes you go away from home, you take your foot off the peddle. Why didn't they go for the away goal? I really don't get it. Spurs are a lot better going forward than they are defending.
"The defence isn't good enough to defend like that. They invited pressure on and I think Jose Mourinho said in his post-match interview 'I told them at half-time you've got to be wary.' They get one goal and suddenly they get a lift.
"It's such a disappointing result if you're a Spurs fan. I'm sure Spurs fans are not happy because it was a real opportunity to go a long way in this tournament. They'll be really disappointed this morning."
