Xabi Alonso is delighted to have signed a new contract with Real Sociedad B.
Xabi, who was linked with Marco Rose's job at Borussia Monchengladbach last week, ended the speculation by signing a new deal with La Real to 2022.
He said, "I am very happy and satisfied with how things are going and the fact that the club and I understood each other so well, with the board and with Roberto.
"We want to continue helping in the project, so that there are better prepared players for the first team.
"All experiences contribute, they have been two very enriching years, for myself, for the club, and for the project that there is, which is very attractive. Being in the last step before the first team, being able to help in the last push.
"The players who go up is a great satisfaction, it makes me very proud and makes me participate in the great work that is done in Zubieta. Being able to help them comforts me a lot."
