Manchester City star Ilkay Gundogan and Chelsea's Kai Havertz were on the scoresheet for Germany in a World Cup Qualifier.
The Germans wasted no time getting at Iceland at home, starting with a Leon Goretzka goal in the second minute.
Havertz then added a second after seven minutes, and it appeared the result could become a route.
Iceland, however, improved and Germany took their foot off the pedal ever so slightly.
The game was put in doubt in the 56th minute through Gundogan's goal, with the Germans happy to walk away with a 3-0 win.
