Brighton boss Graham Potter was delighted with their 2-1 win at Southampton on Sunday.

The Seagulls had taken the lead early on in the first half through skipper Lewis Dunk, before Che Adams levelled not long after to leave the scores at 1-1 at half time.

Leandro Trossard then scored what proved to be the winner in the second half.

Potter later said, "I thought it was a deserved victory, it was a hard-fought game.

“But I am so pleased for the players because we have had a tough run recently and we have stuck together and got the rewards today for the performance."

Meanwhile, Dunk stated: "It feels really good, that was a proper performance. We were disappointed with the goal we conceded, it was not good enough from us.

"But it was an all-round good performance and we showed with that second goal how good we can be."
