Over 20 shops in Gaya Street closed

Kota Kinabalu: After the first Movement Control Order (MCO) from March 18 to July 15, 2020, Daily Express counted more than 20 shops along Gaya Street (previously known as Bond Street) closed down, with some put up for letting and some under renovation for new business endeavours. 

A drop in customer footfall during this Covid-19 pandemic is the main factor behind this.
