BEAUFORT: District Water Engineer, Frazer Duing, said the water supply shortage problem experienced in the district for nearly a week is caused by a broken pump at a water treatment plant here. Repair works are currently underway and the Water Department hopes it can be completed on Tuesday and water supply will resume back to normal, he said when contacted the same day following complaints from many consumers who want to know why the supply was suddenly stopped.
