Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer defended his decision not to start Bruno Fernandes for their poor FA Cup quarterfinal defeat to Leicester City.

Solskjaer surprised many by benching his most influential player on the eve of the international break-up and paid for the decision as the Foxes cruised to an impressive Cup triumph. Solskjaer admits the midfielder wanted to play, but he chose to go with Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek instead - and saw his midfield overrun by an impressive Leicester team on the day.
