Spain coach Luis Enrique has detailed why he chose to call-up Barcelona midfielder Pedri for their looming World Cup qualifiers.
It marks a first senior call for Pedri, who only moved to Barca last summer from Segunda Division Las Palmas. Enrique insists Pedri joins the squad as a player to immediately challenge for a starting place and is confident he can handle international football. Enrique also discusses comparisons between Pedri and his former Barca teammate Andres Iniesta.
