Kuala Lumpur: RAM Sustainability has assigned a Gold Sustainability Rating to Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) for strong overall sustainability performance after taking into consideration its environment, social and governance (ESG) and positive impact attributes. In a statement Friday, it said MAHB’s sustainability performance was driven by robust governance and its positive impact on the economy and society. “The group’s dedication towards integrity and anti-corruption is shown by the adoption of the ISO 37001: Anti-Bribery Management System, as well as the recent incorporation of climate-change risk into MAHB’s risk scorecard, reflects the dynamism of its governance approach,” it said.
The rating, it said, was further supported by the group’s focused community and social contributions as well as forward-looking environmental policies and strategies. “Besides MAHB’s journey in improving supply chain and carbon emission management, we recognise the group’s strong performance, backed by high governance standards,” it pointed out.
Furthermore, RAM Sustainability noted that MAHB’s international participation as a signatory to the Aviation Industry Commitment Action to Climate Change and its Level 3: Optimisation accreditation under the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme ensure adherence to global best practices. RAM Sustainability’s head of Sustainability Services Gladys Chua said MAHB continues to demonstrate clear intention and strategies to catalyse national economic progress and social inclusion even through the Covid-19 pandemic. RAM Sustainability, a provider of sustainability services and ESG analytics, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of RAM Holdings Bhd.
