Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos praised the tactics of coach Zinedine Zidane for their Champions League win against Atalanta.
Ramos scored as Real won 3-1 on Tuesday night to reach the quarterfinals 4-1 on aggregate.
“The objective was for us to go through with a good result and we achieved that," Ramos told Movistar.
“We came out aiming to win the game, control the tempo and we did create more chances to score goals. This is the way forward.
“In the end, you do depend on how the other team approach it. We weren't sure how they were going to press, but we quickly took control thanks to our system with three at the back.
“We knew Atalanta's pace could be dangerous, but it went well and they didn't really threaten us."
