England coach Gareth Southgate was delighted with the performance of Jesse Lingard against San Marino last night.
The midfielder was rewarded with an England recall after leaving Manchester United on-loan for West Ham United where he has shone. Southgate detailed why Lingard was back for the 5-0 World Cup qualifying defeat of San Marino, explaining the midfielder's qualities - both on and off the ball - and personality is a positive for his squad.
