Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and new football chief John Murtough have agreed to try again for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
The likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also said to be interested in the 20-year-old, who has netted 33 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions this season.
The Manchester Evening News says Solskjaer and newly appointed football director Murtough believe Haaland would be the perfect long-term replacement for Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku departed Old Trafford in 2019 and joined Inter Milan in a £74m deal.
Haaland, however, has played down speculation linking him with a move away from Dortmund, saying: "I still have a three-year contract, I'm not concerned about that."
