Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce has slammed claims of the squad questioning his week's schedule.
In the five days after the Wolves game, Newcastle trained twice.
Bruce said: "That's bordering on ridiculous. We set a schedule last month with the doctors and sports scientists.
"The playing schedule we've got this year is totally ridiculous. We didn't have a day off for something like six weeks.
"I find it an absurd and obscene suggestion, it's ridiculous that it makes a headline again."
