Kota Kinabalu: Datuk Seri Panglima Shafie Apdal (pic) denied that he enticed Upko leaders to hop from the hours-old Barisan Nasional state government to his Warisan-led coalition in 2018, which saw him eventually being appointed Chief Minister.

“I remember when I took over the government, I did not buy over the Upko leaders, they came to see me. They did not ask for any positions. They did not ask for money. I didn’t have the money to buy them out anyway,” he said, answering questions in an online facebook session.
