B’fort folks want electrical pole repaired 

BEAUFORT: A slanted electrical pole (pic) near Kg Beringin and Kg Selinsing, along the main road at Kg Palawan, has caused much distress to residents who want immediate action taken by relevant authorities. 

Residents said the leaning pole is very dangerous, especially for lorries plying the stretch at night. 

“We hope the relevant government agencies can do something about this,” said one resident who declined to be named. 

He said residents had to resort to placing warning signs along the stretch to alert motorists about the pole. 

They claimed that the base of the pole was merely planted into the ground without a strong base as its foundation, adding that they are worried it might cause something untoward at any time.
