Former Inter Milan chief Ernesto Paolillo has accused Jose Mourinho abandoning the club after they won the Treble in 2010.
Mourinho left Inter to join Real Madrid, though Paolillo wanted the Portuguese to stay and help rebuild the squad.
"My idea was to dismantle the team. It was a winning team, but players were tired and empty. Mourinho knew it and ran away that same night. I will never forgive him for doing so," Paolillo told Calciomercato.com.
“I was convinced that team should have been dismantled because you can't win the Champions League and tell media you want a new contract immediately after."
Paolillo referred to Diego Milito, who had told the media he wanted a contract extension after the award ceremony.
“I thought it would have been great to start from the beginning with a different coach than Rafa Benitez. I had thought about Conte. He remembers that.
“I had talked to him during a game. He had clear ideas, but the real problem was that Moratti didn't want to bring a Juventino after Mourinho left."
