West Ham skipper Mark Noble has praised the approach of rival Premier League captains over the aborted Super League.
Noble was among the top flight captains preparing to hold an emergency video conference over the Super League before the plan was aborted on Tuesday night.
Noble said: “I've said it many times - even when I finish playing and when the captains change over the years, we should always have that core group of captains that speak on behalf of their clubs and their players that can send a message and have direct lines to every other club in the Premier League.
“It's so important. I think the Championship captains should have one. Also League One and League Two.
“Look, this is all here because we play football. Everything. The clubs and the money involved is because a small group of the population and the world have been lucky enough and worked hard enough to be able to play football at this level.
“And we have got a massive voice when it comes to racism and things like the Super League that go on in football.
“Without the players, without the players' support and without the players going out there and entertaining the world in the country, there is none of this money, simple as.
“There really isn't. And we have realised now that we're in such a powerful position. We can have a say on stuff that goes on."
